Let Everybody Be...

Our zero tolerance levels are so obvious and so apparent everywhere, that now would be a good time to step-back and self-analyze before we become so self-centered and self-obsessed that we no longer can have any meaningful relationships with anyone around us.

We are so quick to pass judgement, so quick to find faults in others, so quick to make others aware of their perceived faults, and all this, to what end?! So that they may overcome them and fit into our scheme of things without any inconvenience to us!

Doesn't that make us some behavioral or moral police, who are sitting in judgement of others and expect others to behave and act in a way that is right by our standards!

The many problems that we face today, our intolerance, our prejudices, our expectations in matters concerning religion, gender, language are all based on that one factor, that we are right, our views, opinions and our judgements are right and everybody else needs to be the way we expect them to be.

And yet, we are quick to deny that we are sitting in judgement...and our immediate reaction to such a statement, would be that 'we are only trying to help/trying to be honest/trying to make others aware!'

Again, why is that required? Wouldn't it be better to increase our own tolerance levels, so that we may truly expand and encompass all the others as equals and just let them be! The irony in most such situations is that while we accept we are not perfect ourselves, we expect perfection from others!

Sometimes, i think, we should just let people be, let experiences be, let things be, just let life be! In accepting everybody and everything around us, we embrace more and judge less. By truly accepting that everyone is different, we learn to embrace their imperfections and faults along with their good side.

Acceptance is a virtue of the matured, i think...It can help us foster better relationships with families, friends, colleagues, and lead to a better society, where we can all co-exist peacefully...In the end, i think, Acceptance, is the key to becoming better human beings!

On that road of self-development, i hope i can learn to let everybody be!
